The GRE Subject Tests are specialized exams designed to assess a candidate’s in-depth knowledge of a specific academic field. These tests are required for certain graduate programs, especially in STEM and research-based fields.
1. Available GRE Subject Tests
GRE Subject Tests are offered in the following disciplines:

Psychology | Assesses knowledge of cognitive, developmental, and social psychology. |

The Biology and Literature subject tests were discontinued in 2021.
2. GRE Subject Test Dates & Format
✅ Test Dates – GRE Subject Tests are offered thrice a year (April, September, October).
✅ Format – Paper-based (No computer-based option).
✅ Duration – 2 hours and 50 minutes (No breaks).
✅ Score Range – 200-990 (scaled score).
