1. simian (adj.) – apelike; relating to apes

2. simile (n.) – comparison of one thing with another using “like” or “as” 

Example: Bob Dylan uses two similes in succession to try to convey the experience of writing a song.

5. sinuous (adj.) – winding; intricate; complex
